C. Stanley Willis II

Managing Member & Founder

Stan is Managing Member and the Founder of Willis Spangler Starling. His journey started in a humble basement office at 501 South High Street, where Stan practiced mainly construction and business litigation. These practice areas seemed to merge well with his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and with his experience at the Ohio Department of Transportation and CJ Mahan Construction. In 2001, Kelly Willis joined the firm, and the firm began to grow exponentially. It became obvious that just making the firm run was a major undertaking, so Stan devoted progressively more time to management.

Stan enjoys the challenge of juggling the diverse needs of all the various practice areas at Willis Spangler Starling. As Richard Branson likes to point out, Stan’s job is to take care of the members, associates, and staff so that they can take care of the clients. Any opportunity to help someone improve their situation, even if just lending an ear, is a rewarding experience.

It would be great if every client understood their case inside and out, but the law is voluminous and difficult to understand. We want to help you understand the decisions you are making and walk with you every step of the way.

Stan is currently learning to fly with his youngest daughter. Flying is an absolute blast.
